hi i just got everything connected and that stuff. when i try and clear memory and download a prog it says hardware not found. im using usb. have tested the voltage on the pic pin. seems ok but still wont download. any other ideas pls.

I want to use a photodiodes to detect a 650nm laser (split several times) Can anybody recommend a cheap photodiode for this. What is the switching threshold for a digital i/p on the picaxe?
