PICAXE Programming Editor problem

HI All, I am beginner of PICAXE . After I installed the PICAXE Programming Editor (latest version , installed last 2 days only), i run it , but it hanging in first screen (the screen show about od PICAXE) , no matter press enter or click mouse button , it still hanging on the screen . Please help .Thanks

The only main thing the software does on startup is 'ask' windows which serial ports are available.

Therefore check you have no serial port conflicts - ie an old mouse driver or similar on the serial port.
