I'm having a few problems with the M08 and 2X20. They won't respond to the firmware check, but once i float the TX line, they respond with their correct firmware and revision.The download circuit was built properly, but will take pictures on request. So, Any ideas?

Im trying to flash a led when c.4 is high but this IF statement isn't working if c.4 = 1 then goto flash ^ Error: Syntax error in this line! What am i missing? I have a 28x2 and the mode is set to 28x2/40x2

I'm new to picaxe, but i have gotten other micros working (Propeller, Arudino) but i can't seem to get the 28x2 to work. I'm powering it with 5V and I'm using Sparkfun's 3.3V USB to Serial(3.3 Is logic high for 5 volts and I'm conditioning the TX from the picaxe). But the programming software...
