Began programming in 1959 in USAF. 1st in machine code for IBM 650 (vacuum tubes). Later in Assembler for IBM 1401/1410. Then to Honeywell and COBOL in the 70's. Moved on to systems design and project management in the 80's and 90's. Got interested in microprocessors in the 4040/8080 era.
Ended up as a PC systems hardware/software consultant in the 2000's. Retired in 2005.
