    I built a datalogger which works ok except for a coupe of quirks I cannot figure out.     i2c problem

    I have built a minimilust circuit using an 18x and a DS1307 RTC but no matter how hard I try, I cannot communicate with the RTC. I (and others) have VERY carefully checked out the circuit and it's the same as the one in the datalogger - pin for pin. Is there something that is not documented?

    Can the input pins be read in one cammand?

    Rather than copying the state of the input pins to a byte a BIT at a time, is there a command (like pins) to read the state of the input pins to a byte in one go?
