software install problem

when I try to start the installation I get the following error:

"Error readin setup initialization file."

Any ideas?

I am running Windows 98

Try running the Microsoft Installer update from the software page, then restart computer. Also make sure the file bas805.exe is about 19MB long, if not it may be a corrupt download.

Hi again,

I had run the install update, and restarted the computer. No luck.
The file is 18.653 Mega bytes.

could it be the file is almost 19 M bytes, but not close enough?
Any other ideas?

I was able to download and install the software on my school computer which is on the school network.

The computer I'm trying to install on now is my home computer with a slower dial up connection.

Problems solved.

I don't know why this helped, but I downloaded and installed the program editor to my wifes machine which runs windows 2000. It installed with no problems. I then burned a cd and installed to my computer from the cd. It worked.
