5.0.6 missing wave32.ocx?

I just installed the 5.0.6 patch over a working version 4.1.17. Upon launch I get an error message saying wave32.ocx is missing and the editor refuses to run. I did a global search and this file is not on my C drive anywhere. Anybody seen this, or know why? OS is WinXP Pro.

This file would of been part of an earlier install, it is not necessary in the patch as it should already be on your system.

Perform the full install.

Update... Again, I looked for the file (search wave32) and it was not on my system anywhere. I then UNINSTALLED both old and new proggies using Add/Remove CP. Afterwards, I reinstalled 4.1.15 and the wave32.ocx file reappeared. Finally I reinstalled 5.0.6 patch and it was still present this time. Now the 5.0.6 editor runs fine??? It seems that only installing the patch over 4.1.17 caused the problem.
