View Full Version : pressure sensors and AXE033
I like to make my own instrument for gliding and looking for pressure sensors on i2c. barometrec and about 25mbar diff. Anyone an idea where to buy?
BTW, i am new on the picaxe but what a great controller..... I connected a AXE033 and wondering if i still could use the 10-bit A/D converters on it and sent the value by i2c to the picaxe. Or am i talking bull now........

The AXE033 is an LCD display, it does not have any A/D converters on it.
The PICAXE X range have 10-bit A2D converters which you could certainly convert to a suitable output to display on an AXE033.
Not sure about any I2C pressure sensors but if they exist, I'm sure someone will know and get back to you.

Also got a INA125 wich is a Precision Voltage Reference this with a varable resister This chip will deliver a 1.24v, 2.5v, 5v or 10 volts
all the info you need is on the download sheet
This is all u need,
I ordered a couple of i2c barometric pressure sensors from sensortechnics in germany fairly recently. Haven't been able to get them working yet, but I have an older 28X. I believe they *should* work with the newer firmware version.
Their website is www.sensortechnics.com
