Hi

Out of recent frustrating experiences trying to post some simple diagrams, I've written a simple app in Excel with a small 'library of components. Here's my first paste to this site, hope it comes out...

I don't want to reinvent wheels , and I don't want to encourage anything Technical isn't happy with re the site. Just wondering if it's worth putting any more effort into it. I'll publish on my web site when it's in a bit better shape.

Bravo! I've long been an ASCII art fan, but keep in mind assorted late 90s/early Y2K era libraries &amp; tools (most of course from pre digital camera days) still on line. Hence check the well thought of German <b> AAcircuit </b> (Andy's ASCII circuit ~250k &quot;beer-ware&quot; download) =&gt; www.tech-chat.de/download.html <A href='http://www.tech-chat.de/download.html ' Target=_Blank>External Web Link</a> that's been used for electronics News Group postings for years.

Here's a sample switch-battery-dropper-LED just rustled up, &amp; dropped in here via a clipboard paste, with those code tag brackets surrounding it.

&quot;ASCII King&quot; Hippy, whose classic ASCII layouts I've long admired, will no doubt spot AAcircuit's potential...

You've done us all a favour in fact, as I for one had not realised those code tags you'd used were valid protocol for this forum !

Wow ...now why didn't I ask about this BEFORE I wasted my time ;-). That's a great piece of software.

It crashed / locked-up on exit for me, but an amazing piece of work. I'd never thought of looking for programs which draw ASCII circuits - D'Oh !

It looks possible to change the default symbols so it should be possible to change to my own prefered styles. Love the way it alters the slope of lines as they are pulled around.
