I have purchased a new AXE092S kit but cannot get it to work and connect with the software:I get a message: error, hardware not found on COM 1. I have checked all connections, polarities etc. but all seems good. I appreciate any help that you could give.

My Sch Exp board does this occasionally, I just twist the phono plug and it goes again.
Check your port for bent pins.
Does your modem also use the port ?, mine does, I need to build Hippys switcher.
But at least I can check the port for problems if the modem also fails.
Also check the IC socket, I never use anything but Machined Pin type, or the LIF
socket MicroZed and Rev-Ed have - # CON033.

I wish more people would start using them as at $10.00 AUD is a tad Steep, maybe the
price would come down then,, ~ ;o)

AXE092S ? Not one I know or found under a Rev.Ed search but, since this is your first post, WELCOME !

That error may be due to the editor not having the correct Picaxe type or serial port set under View -> Options. Check that first. You'll find the Forum search feature a goldmine too. Stan in NZ

Work through the checklist on pages 26-27 of the Getting Started manual.

Also check the batteries - it must be 4.5V (not 6V or 9V).
