Cannot download!!

I am using a Picaxe 08M, have downloaded various programs as I make modifications to the program, but suddenly it will not allow me to download.
I have checked the power is connected etc, I have not changed a thing on the pcb it just suddenly stopped me from downloading or clearing memory.
Any ideas please.

These are rather fussy about power. Three new alkaline cells are recommended. Have you checked this?

Same as the above, but for future reference, I recommend that you use the normal PICAXE forum where you are likely to get more help.
