installsheild problem

when installing the latest version 4.10.09
I get an error 1901 attempting to read from
source installation database:
c:\windows\installer\405b86.msi

Look at point 4 under the "Notes" section - maybe this is your problem...

This type of error normally occurs when the Windows installer service is 'confused'! Its not a problem with the Prog Editor installation itself.

Restart your computer and make sure you run the installation (bas805.exe) from a new 'clean' folder (i.e. not the desktop).

Also make sure the installer service is up to date as suggested above.

I tried to install on winME & win xp sr2
and had the same problem on both.
The (software notes) say winxp dosn't need to
an update for the installer.

I just installed the new intaller update
on winME.
the same error 1901 came up.
looks you software guru's have some work to do

Have you tried downloading the install again? Perhaps something "went funny" during download.

A bit extreme but you can also verify the download using a checksum system such as a MD5 key: try using HashCalc from an <A href='http://www.download.com/HashCalc/3000-2383_4-10130771.html' Target=_Blank>External Web Link</a>.
