A weird one this. Downloading works 100% everytime, but Clear Hardware Memory throws a Serial Port Error 0x17C.

Programming Editor 4.1.5

The workround is easy enough; just download an empty program.

I too have had this one, my PC has been playing up so I assumed it was to do with my system.

I too have the same. I get it on both WINDOWS 98SE and WINDOWS 2000 installations. This is new to 4.1.5

I'm getting exactly the same on 98SE and XP.

Hi All

New to this forum and Picaxe in general.
I have same problem with v4.1.6 editor running under XP. As you say, workround is to load a new file. Would you say this is OS related? Are there any answers out there?
