Com Port Problem

Hello.

I have recently been trying to download to my picaxe 18, but have been experiencing errors. I have tried downloading to a working picaxe 08 board but this dosen't work either. I have been on the PC Advisor website already and they suggested I try this forum. Can you help? I am running Windows 98se and am downloading via a serial connection.

Hi , have you ever used the serial port for any thing else? (to make sure it is enabled in the BIOS)IF so open the device manager and select com port and then properties. make sure it set to com 1.
