This list details the current handling capabilities of PICAXE chips. Data is taken from the Microchip datasheets - These may be subject to change or re-rating and figures here are not guaranteed to be correct so always check the latest datasheets before use. E&OE.

Current "sourced through chip" is the current into VDD (+V), current "sunk through chip" is the current out of VSS (0V).

These are absolute maximum ratings at -40C to +85C and may need to be derated at more extreme tempeartures. Stresses above those listed may cause permanent damage to the device. Exposure to maximum rating conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability. Please see the Microchip datasheet for full and further details on absolute maximum ratings.

Another valueable set of data which really begs for a "FAQ Technical" section.

Not sure "User Projects Communication" is the ideal spot:confused:

It seemed to be the best place to put it for the time being, alongside the I/O pin info - at least I'll remember where it is !

The most appropriate ways and places to present information is something that will be on our agenda.

These data should really be neatly tabulated and Appended to the Manual.
It is imporant info and really needs to be thrust upon the User without the need to climb Mount Everest to find. It needs to be done neatly and concisely, so that's me and Hippy out of the frame.

Another little table that needs doing is one to summarise Supply V, I/O volt levels, and Input V thresholds.
