i downloaded the update for the croc clips plug-in.
1. how do i check it is loaded?
2. how can i test it?

You install the upgrade by unzipping the downloaded zip file (e.g. using winzip from www.winzip.com) and then copying all the files within the zip file into the Crocodile Technology\PlugIns\TechSupplies folder (exact location will vary according to how Croc Tech was originally installed).
When copying you will have to answer 'yes' when Windows asks you if you want to update files with the same filename.

To test the download simply try to program using a simple routine such as flashing an LED on and off.

cannot find plugins file in croc clips program files. i have version 1 - any ideas?

You need Crocodile Technology V1.5 or greater. If you have got Croc Tech 1.0 to 1.4 you can download a free upgrade from www.crocodile-clips.com. If you just have Crocodile Clips Invent! you need to purchase Crocodile Technology
